Last month, IGT Africa celebrated #NelsonMandelaMonth in several ways. Partnering with the RGM School of Excellence, we donated essential educational materials to students at Davey High School in Daveyton, empowering them to excel in mathematics, science and accounting. We also provided blankets to Refiloe Gives and Hast Foundation, bringing warmth and comfort to those in need. Additionally, employees and their families participated in Radio 702’s #WalkTheTalk in Pretoria which took walkers past the hospital where Mandela spent his final days, and finished at The Union Buildings where he was inaugurated in 1994. IGT is committed to making a supporting our communities and our employees' actions during Mandela Month honor his legacy of service, education, and compassion. #IGTGamingEMEA #IGTSustainablePlay

IGT aims to make a positive impact on the communities in which it operates. Our employee- and corporate-driven programs facilitate opportunities for continued learning and growth and align with the Community Giving and Engagement Policy overseen by IGT’s Social Impact Committee. As outlined in our most recent Sustainability Report, in 2023, IGT opened 15 new After School Advantage labs, including the milestone opening of its 350th technology lab. We also stablished a STEAM-focused curriculum for future After School Advantage labs that develops youths’ skills in math, video production, and creative writing. Tim Shortall has worked at IGT for nearly 27 years, a majority of which he’s held the title of Regional Vice President of U.S. Eastern Region and Caribbean Sales. While those facts alone are impressive, his status as an inspirational leader is bolstered by his support of the muscular dystrophy (MD) community, of which his older brother belonged. Throughout his life, Tim has raised money for MD, volunteered at summer camps for children with MD, and worked with his team at IGT to support families of those with MD. For his passion and commitment to IGT’s Sustainable Play pillars of “Valuing and Protecting Our People” and “Supporting Our Communities,” we are proud to name Tim as an IGT Fabio Cairoli Sustainability Champion Award recipient. #IGTSustainablePlay #SustainabilityChampion

Last year, IGT established a strategic partnership with the McKenna Institute at the University of New Brunswick (UNB) to fund the expansion of the university’s game development technologies and software curriculum, while strengthening our talent pipeline in the region. This summer, our Moncton, NB office provided opportunities to seven Computer Science and Software Engineering interns from UNB. We recently held our fourth annual IGT Coding and Robotics Rock! Camp in the Caribbean. This year, a total of 72 students from IGT After School Advantage Centers in Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, St. Maarten, and St Kitts & Nevis participated in the two-week camp. The students gained valuable digital skills such as website development, artificial intelligence and robotics. Our partners at Mona Geoinformatics Institute at the University of West Indies helped design the courses to educate the students on how technology can be applied to help address Climate Change issues. Congratulations to Jade Luchauer, MBA, IGT Senior Manager Global Sustainability, who recently won the Don Feeney Award for Responsible Gambling Excellence at the National Council on Problem Gambling’s 2024 National Awards. Over the last 10 years at IGT, Jade has made many significant contributions to the Company within the areas of responsible gaming and community relations. She routinely partners with the NCPG on its educational campaigns and brainstorms new, creative ways to demonstrate IGT’s support, while encouraging conversations about responsible gaming. Among many of her contributions, Jade is routinely asked to speak at global industry events, and works to uphold and gain new responsible gaming certifications for IGT.
