The hDMT Organ-on-Chip Consortium had a blast at the EUROoCS conference 2024 and we are a little bit sad that it is already over. We look back at a great conference with inspiring talks, amazing food and good conversations. It's day two of the EUROoCS conference and it was our time to shine. Our boardmember Jaap den Toonder pitched hDMT Organ-on-Chip Consortium during the session on national OoC initiatieves. For those of you who couldn't be there, no worries. Jaap also recorded his pitch, take a look.

Today at the EUROoCS conference the official CEN and CENELEC "Focus Group Organ-on-Chip Standardisation Roadmap" was presented by the focus group chair (coincidentally also our society chair) Andries van der Meer! This is a great communal effort by many of the OoC stakeholders (including many of our society's members). You can read the keypoints of this roadmap already in our pictures, but the whole document is certainly worth the read. hDMT Organ-on-Chip Consortium is on its way to Milan for the EUROoCS conference 2024. We are looking forward to an interesting and inspiring couple of days, especially to all the contributions from hDMT partners. Not only are there 13 talks, there are also 34 (!) posters that will be presented by the various partners. Great to see such a big presence of the Dutch Organ-on-Chip community. Wanted: experts in the Organ-on-Chip field In the context of a graduation project (Manufacturing Systems Engineering) carried out by Nick Gartsen in the group of Regina Luttge at Eindhoven University of Technology, research is being carried out on the status of the Organ-on-Chip ecosystem. The study aims to gather insights from experts across various fields to understand the current landscape, challenges, and opportunities within this innovative area of research and application. If you are such an expert, the researchers would very much appreciate if you can help them by completing the survey, which takes about 8-10 minutes. This week hDMT Organ-on-Chip Consortium attended the MPS World Summit in Seattle. Saskia Aan presented the latest developments in the hDMT INFRA project. Other hDMT partners got the chance to show their work as well: - Eric Safai & Joshua Loessberg-Zahl showcased the Translational Organ on Chip Platform (TOP), developed in the SMARTOoC project - TNO was present on the expo floor. Evita van de Steeg gave a talk on ADME in pediatric intestinal organoids. -Francisco Conceição presented his work on osteoclast-osteoblast interactions in a Organ-on-Chip model. NEW FUNDING ALERT The the Association of Collaborating Health Foundations (Samenwerkende GezondheidsFondsen (SGF)) have opened up their new funding call 'Human Measurement Models: Next Steps in Model Development' This call is open to proposal to further develop human measurements models (TLR level 3-7). A maximum of 1 million euros per project can be requested. Submission deadline is October 4th 2024. This 3rd human measurement models call is a collaboration between the SGF, Health~Holland and ZonMw

Yesterday, several of the hDMT Organ-on-Chip Consortium team members attended (and organized) the Biomed | NXTGEN Hightech consortium meeting filled with interesting talks and discussions. Great to see the whole consortium come together like this.
