Buildings account for 40% of the EU's energy demand, presenting a significant opportunity for energy savings. However, the current renovation rate of just 1.2% per year remains a major challenge. To boost renovation rates to 2-3% annually and meet climate targets, effective solutions need widespread demonstration and replication. This requires reducing renovation costs and disruption for occupants. EU-funded research through the #Horizon programme is delivering consumer-friendly, cost-effective, and faster technologies and approaches to accelerate deep energy-efficient renovations across Europe's building stock. ♻️ Para avanzar hacia la #circularidad en la rehabilitación de edificios el proyecto #H2020 “Drive 0” ha formulado una serie de “recomendaciones #políticas” dirigidas a las administraciones públicas para llevar a cabo este cambio, que abarcan aspectos técnicos, normativos, financieros y sociales. ✅ Estas recomendaciones tienen como objetivo proporcionar soluciones concretas para superar los obstáculos que dificultan la adopción generalizada de un enfoque circular en la construcción y proponen acciones concretas para difundir los principios de la circularidad y aumentar su adopción entre todos los actores clave involucrados en el proceso de renovación profunda del entorno construido. ✅ También brindan ejemplos concretos de iniciativas y soluciones viables. En última instancia, estas recomendaciones políticas buscan encontrar formas de financiar intervenciones de renovación profunda con eficiencia energética en el parque inmobiliario público y privado a través de un enfoque circular. 🌞 Este enfoque contribuirá a alcanzar los objetivos del Pacto Verde Europeo de lograr la neutralidad climática para 2050. 👉 Lee el artículo completo en el #BlogIVE: tinyurl.com/4fkuypcd #IVEproyEU
