🔓 🚢 Unlocking inland shipping! From Maasvlakte to Venray sailing against the current - powered by #hydrogen and emitting ZERO emissions! Our first #zeroemissions vessel, H2 Barge 1, recently paid a visit to the BCTN Venray-Wanssum terminal nestled in the heart of North Limburg’s logistics hotspot. Located along the river Maas, the A73 and the N270, this terminal is positioned at an international crossroads for water and road transport. Here we offloaded cargo containers and swapped out our Air Liquide hydrogen containers. Many thanks to the team at BCTN Network of Inland Terminals (member of the Inland Terminals Group) for the warm welcome and continued cooperation. 🚢 Spotted in vibrant colour! 📸 The second Future Proof Shipping zero-emissions vessel, H2 Barge 2, gracefully navigating the River Maas. This innovative vessel can reduce up to 3000 tonnes of CO2 annually by running entirely on #hydrogen. We're proud to say it's the first vessel in the world to sail with six Ballard FC wave fuel cells, with a total installed power of 1.200kW. Freshly repainted, H2 Barge 2 shines brighter than ever! 🇳🇱 H2 Barge 2 flies the #hydrogen flag for the Netherlands! The international hydrogen guide 2024 was published this month by Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) | Partner in Sustainable Development and includes the latest developments in the field of hydrogen in the Netherlands, a visualisation of the hydrogen value chain, and more than 200 company profiles. The guide is distributed among the international network of the Dutch government to draw global attention to the Dutch hydrogen sector.
