This acquisition strengthens Peka Kroef's position as a leading provider of fresh potato products. By adding Frespo to its portfolio, Peka Kroef is better positioned to meet the growing demand for high-quality fresh potato products. In the coming months Frespo will operate as an independent entity, before being integrated in the Peka Kroef organization. Under the new name, Frespo will continue to supply high quality steam fresh and pre-cooked potato products for the Foodservice and Business to Industry markets across Europe. Anouk ter Laak, CEO Frespo: “With over 30 years of experience, robust facilities and an enthusiastic work force, we are excited to continue delivering delicious, high quality fresh potato products to our customers. We will continue to work closely with our suppliers, as we build a great team and an efficient operation. Our future plans are focused on creating long lasting relations with our suppliers and customers, growth via innovations and investments. It’s our mission to deliver fresh potato solutions to food professionals in Europe.” At this moment both Aviko and Frespo work on a smooth transition of the Cuijk facility. It is expected this transition will be concluded per 1 April 2024. Until further notice the Client Service Center of Aviko will be the contact for all commercial activities of steam fresh and pre-cooked potato products. The name Frespo is created from a combination of ‘Fresh’ and ‘Potatoes’. Frespo is part of Nimbus. Nimbus is a private investment company with significant experience in food manufacturing industry. Together with Nimbus, Frespo shapes its future in fresh potato solutions.
