Gisteren organiseerden we ons Cheers & Thanks event, waarbij we onze actieve leden in de commissies en expertgroepen hebben uitgenodigd om hen te bedanken voor hun inzet. DUFAS is een levendige branchevereniging met bijna 60 leden en een uitgebreid kenniscentrum waar een breed scala aan onderwerpen wordt behandeld. De vereniging draait op de participatie en inzet van haar leden, en we zijn enorm dankbaar voor de actieve bijdrage van de deelnemers in de diverse commissies en expertgroepen. Via deze weg willen we daarom nogmaals al onze leden bedanken voor hun inzet. Voorafgaand aan de borrel hadden we Mélanie Bosboom van Female x Finance uitgenodigd om inzicht te geven in de diversiteit binnen de asset management sector. Zij ging in op de vraag hoe je diverse kandidaten kan aantrekken als sector. Binnenkort zullen we binnen DUFAS starten met de werkgroep Diversiteit en Inclusie. The first ever FxF Super Day! 💜 & It was a huge success!! Since the start of Female x Finance we've helped 200 women land a job in Finance, but this isn't always easy. The biggest challenge for anyone in this sector is to secure their first internship and we noticed that for most of our members it was necessary to have a deepdive into the sector before they go into the interviews. That is why we introduced the FxF Super Day, this is a day where we: ⬇️ Dive into the different career opportunities and companies 🤷♀️ Explain in depth what all different jobs entail "What does a consultant or investor do exactly?" 🗣 Have 1-1 career conversations, where we plan your career and match you to companies that suit your personality and interest 💃 Help everyone with their motivation What is next for these 17 women? 🤝 They have been matched to our partners for their interviews 🗓️ We have scheduled an interview training 💜 We hope to include them soon in our #hired post! 🚀 We are thrilled to announce the new member of our board of DEI Experts, Mirjam Admiraal, The Portable Lawyer 🚀 Mirjam is an expert in discrimination, equal pay, and workplace misconduct, with a double Master’s degree in Law and experience as an attorney and legal counsel. Some years ago, Mirjam uncovered an unexplainable pay gap with a male colleague. Her persistence led to a landmark judgment by the Dutch Institute of Human Rights, becoming a prominent advocate for equal pay. Combining her personal experience with her professional expertise, she now helps employers and employees achieve equality as The Portable Lawyer. ⭐️ We're kicking this collaboration with an exclusive training for all Female x Finance's partners, where we'll discuss: - Inclusive hiring - Workplace discrimination - Equal pay - Pregnancy & motherhood Mirjam will also help our partners with legal counsel and the creation and implementation of workplace policies like anti harassment and anti bias. 💜 Curious about any of these topics?
