FCI is the Global Representative Body for Factoring and Financing of Open Account Domestic and International Trade Receivables. With close to 400 member companies in 90 countries FCI offers a unique network for cooperation in cross-border factoring. FCI was set up in 1968 as an umbrella organisation for independent factoring companies around the world. Today we have grown into the world's representative factoring network and association with close to 400 members in 90 countries. In 2016 the activities of IFG (International Factors Group) were integrated into FCI. Today, FCI is truly the global representative body for the Factoring & Receivables Finance Industry. FCI offers three major areas of activities: CONNECT : the Business network supports cross-border factoring activities through which its members cooperate as export and import factors. EDUCATE : FCI promotes and develops best practices in both domestic and international factoring and related Open Account Finance products. INFLUENCE : FCI promotes and defends the Industry with stakeholders and policy makers worldwide. FCI offer a wide range of learning products to be educate on Factoring and Receivables Finance. The Foundation Course on Domestic and International Factoring is available to anyone. To study more in-depth subjects, your company has to become a member. ▶ NEW VIDEO | Breaking down the growth of factoring and collateral registries in Africa 📊 The African continent is one of the most intriguing regions for the factoring industry in 2024. According to the FCI Annual Review, while Africa only represented a 1.25% share of the global factoring volume in 2023, it experienced a 13.5% increase from the previous year. 🌍 The continent is ready for even more growth, and there are reasons to be optimistic regarding the market. FCI Announces Senior Leadership Team and Key Management Appointments As FCI enters its 57th year as a leader in global open account trade, Neal Harm is excited to announce the formation of the FCI Senior Leadership Team. This team will execute FCI's strategic goals and drive its global mission. Gert-Jan Baars, Director of Operations Gert-Jan Baars has been appointed as the Director of Operations. He has held various key operational and IT management roles at FCI over the years. This new role expands on his experience in IT and includes finance, administration, operations, and compliance. Gert-Jan has run several companies in the Netherlands over the years. His extensive experience and dedication to operational excellence will be instrumental in advancing the capabilities of FCI. A. Betül Kurtulus, Director of Strategic Marketing and Business Development Betül Kurtulus has accepted the newly created role of Director of Strategic Marketing and Business Development. Betül's continued success as Regional Director has prepared her to lead FCI’s strategic marketing initiatives and drive business development efforts on a global scale. As FCI builds relationships with regional development banks and multinational organizations, this role will be instrumental in growing those relationships. Aysen Cetintas, Director of Education Aysen Cetintas will continue her role as Director of Education, overseeing the strategy, management, and direction of FCI Academy. FCI's commitment to education is further emphasized with Aysen’s appointment to the Senior Leadership Team. The Senior Leadership Team along with our global team of associates will bring FCI to new heights by enhancing its technology platform, advocating in all markets, and expanding its global reach.
