To approach the manufacturing challenges in the field of #AdvancedBiomedProduction, researchers from #Factory2030 are first gaining a detailed understanding of the manufacturing systems at play. This will strengthen the research being conducted by PhD Candidate Ayodeji Samuel Binuyo which focuses on the use of digital methods for the design, planning, and control of highly flexible manufacturing systems for achieving high-quality medical products that meet regulatory standards. The research will cover a systematic requirement analysis for current and future biomed process chains. This review will allow future manufacturers to gain further control of the #ManufacturingSystems involved in biomed production. #NXTGENHighTech #SmartIndustry #ManufacturingSystems #Biomed NXTGEN Hightech, Smart Industry | NXTGEN Hightech, Sebastian Thiede, Sattar Emamian

Between the 29-31 May I had the opportunity to participate at the 57th CIRP Conference on Manufacturing Systems (CMS), which took place at Póvoa de Varzim, Porto, Portugal. It was an opportunity to engage the international scientific and industry communities, especially in the topics related to battery manufacturing systems. Also an opportunity to meet old friends such as Dr. Boitumelo Ramatsetse, D-Eng, AMSAIIE, SAIMechE my former co-Supervisor. Amazing work is being done from various countries and institutions that will lead to the introduction of new production technologies in the battery manufacturing process chains and result on scrap, cost and GHGE reduction. Our team from the University of Twente was represented by our chair of Manufacturing Systems Sebastian Thiede and his team Yijin Wang, Leicai Xiao and me. We also had Lucas Pronk a researcher in our department. Thanks to the organizers lead by Prof. Goran Putnik for the good hospitality in Póvoa de Varzim and to our funder NXTGEN Hightech | Factory2030 - NXTGEN Hightech. I take this opportunity to invite you to next year’s session which will be hosted at the University of Twente. For more information access the link below 👇🏾. https://lnkd.in/e6ucaNnh
