📣 #CallingForVolunteers 🌍 Join us in making a difference! EWBNL is embarking on an incredible mission to support #education and #hygiene in Malawi and Africa as a whole. 📚✨ We are thrilled to announce our plan to send a 44 ft shipping container to Tanzania, which will then be transported to the Nachali School in Malawi and finally to the Mahetshe School in Zimbabwe. 🚢 This container will serve as a lifeline, filled with essential school supplies, and other necessities, empowering these schools and helping their projects take flight. 🎒✏️🩸 But that's not all! In addition to the container project, we are also passionate about organizing #hygieneworkshops for students and teachers at the Nachali School, focusing on menstrual hygiene and disease prevention. We will even teach them how to sew cloth pads themselves! 🩸💪 This initiative is inspired by the incredible work of EWB Germany, who have already set up a similar project in the region. Learn more about their efforts at https://lnkd.in/ezeunK-s. 🤝 To make these endeavors a success, we are #callingforvolunteers! We need a passionate project leader and 2-3 dedicated volunteers to organize the container, secure donations of school supplies, and oversee the filling, shipping, and preparation processes. We have already initiated contact with the Maersk Foundation, a generous organization that has shown interest in supporting our #containershipping cause. They have offered to donate a container and provide port-to-port shipping services. Learn more about their incredible work at https://lnkd.in/eTpSnadF. 🤝 For the hygiene workshops, we encourage applications from all individuals, but we especially welcome #femalevolunteers. Your role will involve contacting our local partner in Malawi, preparing for the workshops, and delivering them alongside EWB Germany. Furthermore, we believe in the power of collaboration. A spin-off initiative could involve connecting with female entrepreneurs in the region who are interested in setting up a cloth pad production facility. This will provide low-cost menstrual pads to the Nachali School and other primary/secondary schools in the area. 💼🌍 If you are ready to make a lasting impact and be part of this transformative journey, please reach out to us! Together, we can create a brighter future for education, hygiene, and empowerment in Malawi and beyond. 💫 #EngineersWithoutBorders #EducationMatters #HygieneInitiative #LogisticsForACause #MakingADifference #Malawi #Zimbabwe #Africa

Engineers Without Borders - Netherlands has won a grant of EUR 5,000 from Stamicarbon (MAIRE Group) to supply a new plastic recycling shredder for the Jos Green Centre project in Nigeria. With the efforts of Vinayak Krishnan, EWBNL team and Stamicarbon's vision for a more sustainable future, we will help a local community-driven startup to leverage new, more capable equipment. This will help kickstart their plastic recycling efforts in the region. The project is a positive step towards building a circular world as well as realizing our goal of supporting communities in under-resourced regions. We sincerely thank Stamicarbon for their support and hope this is just the start of a long-lasting collaboration with them. #Stamicarbon #EWBNL #grants #EngineersWithoutBordersNL #PlasticRecycling #CircularWorld #SustainableDevelopment #SocialImpactEngineering #PositiveChange #JosGreenCenter #Nigeria
