Post-Master in EU Customs Law | There are still places available! In September 2024, Erasmus Fiscal Studies (EFS) will organize again the Post-Master in EU Customs Law. This interactive master programme will be helpful in training tax professionals in dealing with the different and complex aspects of customs. In two modules of one week (23 until 27 September 2024 and 4 until 8 November 2024), this programme will introduce you to the Union Customs Code and provides you with detailed understanding of general issues in EU customs law, as well as in-depth training in relevant strategic and business issues. Last week the first edition of the Top-Level Seminar in EU Customs Law took place at the campus of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. In very interactive sessions we discussed recent trends and prevalent issues revolving around Free Trade Agreements, new ESG trade measures like CBAM, anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties, the proposals put forward to reform the EU Customs Union, customs valuation, export controls and recent court cases. POST-MASTER INTERNATIONAAL EN EUROPEES BELASTINGRECHT | WEEK 2 Afgelopen week heeft de tweede module van de Post-Master Internationaal en Europees Belastingrecht plaatsgevonden. De tweede module stond in het teken van voortdurende globalisering en de invloed van de digitalisering van onze samenleving op het bestaande internationale fiscale raamwerk met colleges gegeven door onder andere Suniel Pancham en Gijs Fibbe. Op donderdagavond heeft een diner plaatsgevonden bij de Euromast met de deelnemers. De week hebben wij afgesloten met een interessante paneldiscussie onder leiding van Han Kogels en panelleden Marlies de Ruiter, Jos Beerepoot en Anna Gunn met als thema de fiscale ethiek van multinationals. Ook volgend jaar zal er weer een nieuwe editie gaan plaatsvinden van deze post-master. Gijs Fibbe en ik mochten tijdens een EFS bijeenkomst een voordracht houden over hybride mismatches, de Pijler 2 minimumbelasting en de verhouding tussen richtlijnen en belastingverdragen. POST-MASTER IN EU CUSTOMS LAW | REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN In September the Post-Master in EU Customs Law at EFS, Erasmus University Rotterdam 2024 will start. The interactive programme, focusing on international business and with opportunities for international networking, will ensure you are completely up-to-date with the world of the EU customs law. The programme introduces you to the Union Customs Code and provides you with a detailed understanding of general issues in EU customs law, as well as in-depth training in relevant strategic and business issues. The first module (23 September - 27 September) will discuss general issues within EU customs law. It also includes a boat trip in the Port of Rotterdam so that you can experience one of the world’s largest ports in all its glory!
