Marc Bakker from eLEAF will be leading as the moderator at the 2024 World Water Week in Stockholm on August 27th between 14:00-15:30 and are excited to welcome Meike van Ginneken as a panelist! Meike van Ginneken has over 25 years of experience in policy and financing of water, climate, energy, and food. She has worked at the World Bank from 2002 to 2017, from 2012 as Regional Director Energy for West and Central Africa and as Regional Director Water for South Asia. Following this experience, she served as Chair of the Board of Directors of SNV Netherlands Development Organisation and as UN Assistant Secretary-General for Strategy & Knowledge at the International Fund for Agricultural Development. Currently Meike is the Water Envoy for the The Netherlands and is at the forefront of putting water on the international agenda and sharing her knowledge of water. By integrating eLEAF's data into their risk models, insurers/investors gain a better understanding of the factors influencing agricultural productivity and landscape vulnerability to climate-related risks such as drought.
