Over ons
The European Hematology Association (EHA) promotes excellence in patient care, research and education in hematology. The European Hematology Association was founded in Brussels, Belgium in June 1992, and began by organizing a biennial congress in a European city. From 1998, it became an annual event, taking place in June. Gradually, the activities of EHA expanded to cover many complementary subjects in the field of Hematology. Since its inception, EHA has broadened its activities in order to serve European hematologists in delivering state-of-the-art execution of their profession. This expansion has also had an effect on the structure and the functioning of the Association. The Board and the number of committees and units have expanded, and over the years the Executive Office have welcomed more staff members to support the work of EHA.

In less than two weeks, #EHA will welcome 30 scholars for a new preceptorship on #sicklecelldisease (SCD). Created as an initiative of our Topics-in-Focus Hemoglobinopathies program, our aim is to train a new generation of professionals on the diagnosis, management, and treatment of #SCD. We will be joined by 11 faculty members who will share their experiences during sessions and clinical case workshops, equipping participants with the skills to provide patient-centered and culturally informed care.
