🚀 We’re excited to announce the launch of TeleFlux, a new spin-off from the Offshore Engineering group at TU Delft | Civil Engineering and Geosciences! 🌊 TeleFlux is developing a contactless sensor to monitor steel structures in locations where direct contact isn’t feasible. Their first focus is offshore wind turbine foundations, where their technology measures stresses and accelerations without physical contact, using magnetic and optical methods. This improves foundation designs, reduces steel usage, optimizes the installation process in real-time, and extends the lifespan of foundations. 🌍 We wish the TeleFlux team (Reinder Jorritsma, Robert Hasselaar, Francesca Greco) all the best and much success on their entrpreneurial journey! #delftenterprises #spinoffs #portfolio #teleflux #sensor #sensortech #monitoring #offshore #windturbines #steelstructures

🍽️Delft Enterprises recently co-hosted a successful Startup Investor Dinner together with YES!Delft and the 4TU.Federation. The dinner brought together 30 promising tech start-ups and 23 (inter)national investors. 🔥 Carefully matched table seating ensured fruitful discussions between aligned start-ups and investors.“It was a great setting to meet investors. I particularly enjoyed the format with a different 1-on-1 match at every course, with opportunities to deep-dive into parts of the vision and strategy that normally don't make it in a pitch at a networking event." said Thijs Blad from MEMSYS. We’re looking forward to seeing and hearing more about the outcomes of the evening! Martine Nieuwenhuizen, Ronald Gelderblom, Sonja Vos-Poppelaars, Brechtje Vreenegoor, Albert-Jan de Croes, Jan Geert van Hall, Dr. Lexter Woodley, Nannila Zevenhuizen-Molenaar, Marta Pinto, Solvita M. #YESDelft #InvestorDinner #Startups #Networking #Innovation #TechEcosystem

📅 Time to team up! Because on November 14th, it’s time for the second Team Up Day, organized by the Thematic Technology Transfer (TTT). With TTT, the four technical universities in the Netherlands (4TU.Federation) and TNO strive to stimulate new innovative activities. Delft Enterprises will be present with a delegation. ✨ Spin-off founders get the opportunity to meet each other, as well as investors and other relevant stakeholders from industry. It will be an inspiring day where you get to know all about how to team up for success: how do you find the right co-founders? And which investor is a match? 👉🏼 Tickets are available now and going fast. Join us and team up for success! 🏆 We are happy to share that ZMD received a grant from the Dick Plettenburg Fund. The start-up is developing the Rise ankle-foot orthosis, which empowers individuals to walk naturally and confidently. 📈 The primary goal of the Dick Plettenburg Fund is to support and accelerate the transition from research to the patient, particularly through an €25.000 grant for (pre-)start-ups. The focus is in the field of treatment and support for individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities. 💪🏽 We wish Lennart Zielstra and Joris Zielstra all the best with their further development of Zeal Mobility and the Rise! 🔎 Measuring defects in computer chips during manufacturing is crucial for improving production yield. Scientists from TU Delft's Faculty of Applied Sciences, together with researchers from Utrecht University, have investigated a new imaging technique using extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light— a short wavelength radiation —to examine the 3D nanoscale structures on the chips. 👁️ Delft Enterprises portfolio company AIM Solutions has pioneered this technique, which eliminates the need for expensive EUV reflective mirrors or lenses that are typically challenging to fabricate. Instead, images are reconstructed computationally from acquired diffraction data, resulting in a significant reduction in equipment costs. 🖊️ Contracts between Delft Enterprises and AIM Solutions were recently signed, formalizing the status of AIM Solutions as a TU Delft spin-off. We wish founder Yifeng Shao all the best in developing his start-up! #aimsolutions #chips #euvlight #3dnanoscale #delftenterprises #portfolio #startup #tudelft

📑 Great to see Delft research on identifying chip defects during manufacturing featuring in Nature. Delft Enterprises portfolio company AIM Solutions aims to improve the process. We'll soon share more on the company and founder Yifeng Shao.
🔬 Identifying defects in computer chips during manufacturing is crucial to improving production yield. Scientists from Delft University of Technology and Utrecht University investigated a new imaging technique using extreme ultra-violet (EUV) light—a high-energy short-wavelength radiation—to examine the 3D nanoscale structures on the chips. ⚡ This technique eliminates the need to use any imaging system containing expensive EUV reflective mirrors in the measurement tool. Instead, images are reconstructed computationally from acquired diffraction data, resulting in a significant cost reduction. 💽 The findings by Yifeng Shao, Sven Weerdenburg, Jacob Seifert, Paul Urbach, Allard Mosk and Wim Coene are now published in Nature Portfolio's Light: Science & Applications. 🔗 Links in comment section 👇 #EUV #chips #imaging #physics #science #technology

🏆 A massive milestone for Battolyser Systems: the company just raised €30 million in a Series A funding from Global Cleantech Capital, Innovation Industries, and Invest-NL. Battolyser, a Delft Enterprises portfolio company, is the world's sole manufacturer of an electrolyser with battery functionality that enables the lowest cost green hydrogen. 🌱 The Schiedam-based company aims to use the new funding to scale up operations and get their next-generation electrolyser market-ready next year. Their unique technology can switch on and off following intermittent renewable energy. With its 100% flexibility, it unlocks new business models, reducing the cost of green hydrogen and alleviating grid congestion. 🔋 It does so through storing electricity and converting it into hydrogen at opportune times: when surpluses of electricity are created by renewable energy sources. Cheap electricity makes cheap hydrogen, since electricity is the biggest cost factor in producing hydrogen. The Battolyser delivers the stored electricity when there's demand and/or when renewable energy is not available. 👉🏼 Last year, the company already secured 40 million euro from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to expand its pilot plant and scale up in the port of Rotterdam.
