CREATE YOUR CAREER DAY: FRIDAY JULY 12
Are you working in the Netherlands? Would like to know more about your rights and how you can best be supported in your work? De Voorkamer and the largest Dutch trade union, FNV, FNV Young & United, are teaming up to organize a new edition of Create your Career. No matter how much work experience you've had, feel free to join and we can learn together at the Create Your Career Event at the Voorkamer in Utrecht. It is also a nice way to get to know more people and share experiences on the Dutch labour market together and broaden your network in Utrecht.
At Create Your Career we will be talking about your own work experiences and labor conditions, and look at how to gain power at work! We dive briefly into working hours, paid leave, and then go deeper into how contracts are build up. For those that are interested to become freelancers (zzp'er), we will discuss the aspect of working as an independent as well. Working without a boss and earning even more! This is an idea that leads many people to consider a future as a freelancer. But is this always a smart decision? This lesson covers what it really involves. What are the opportunities, but also the risks? And how does it differ from being an employee? Only when you understand what entrepreneurship entails can you determine if freelancing is right for you.
A tasty free lunch is included.
Come along and together we will learn how to better organize and claim power at work! Register here: https://lnkd.in/euUd295M
Language: The working language of the workshops is English. If required, we can also provide explanations in Dutch to clarify things.
