The CogniGron Talent Network (CTN) encourages young scientists to develop a multidisciplinary research perspective early on in their careers. Stimulating scientific exchange is key to CogniGron 🔑 A little while ago, we announced a CTN Board change, and this time we would like to get to know Martin F. Sarott, the newest board member, a little better. He is from Switzerland and works as a postdoctoral researcher in the Solid State Materials for Electronics Group led by Prof. Beatriz Noheda. In his research, he aims to mimic the non-volatile memory capacity of biological synapses and the volatile spiking behaviour of neurons using ferroelectric thin films. Great to have you on board, Martin! 🌍 Read more about Martin, his research and visions for the CTN ➡ https://lnkd.in/eS4NsZyM #researchers #talent #computing #neuromorphic #FutureProofComputing

The other seminar last week was Hardware for Neuromorphic Sensing, Processing and Learning by Prof. Bernabé Linares-Barranco. 🧠 An insightful session and a great turnout on 14 October. One of Bernabé’s topics was about the use of Dynamic Vision Sensor (DVS) cameras and spiking neural network (SNN) hardware for energy-efficient, bio-inspired visual processing. Interested in reading more about his talk? ➡ https://lnkd.in/eTxj_-ZH Thank you for your visit! #neuromorphic #hardware #seminar #FutureProofComputing

Last week, we had the privilege of hosting Prof. Christian Wenger from IHP and Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg. Christian gave a fantastic talk on #RRAM-based #computing, covering a wide range of related topics. He also had many fruitful discussions with several colleagues at the University of Groningen. We look forward to strengthening the collaboration between IHP, Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg, and the University of Groningen.
