🌬️ We advised TotalEnergies on its landmark agreements to acquire a stake in OranjeWind, from German renewables developer RWE, in view of supplying #GreenHydrogen to its European refineries and lowering its emissions. This marks TotalEnergies' entry into the Dutch #OffshoreWind market. OranjeWind is a 795 MW offshore wind farm under development in the North Sea in the Netherlands. To tackle the challenges of fluctuating power generation from wind and flexible #energy demand, OranjeWind involves a combination of first-of-a-kind smart innovations and large-scale investments, which will be used in combination to manage power intermittency and grid congestion issues and realise the required match between supply and demand. Our core team comprised Liesbeth Buiter, Jeroen Thijssen, Philip Walsh, Pieter Leefers, Hansuya Reddy, Sabine van den Heuvel, Johanneke Butijn, Wouter Fonteijn, Niels Kuil, Maria Boerman and Liselotte Hommels. 👉 Read more: https://lnkd.in/er276UwX #MergersAndAcquisitions #EnergyAndInfrastructure #EnergyTransition #Electrolyzers #FloatingSolar #RenewableEnergy #BatteryStorage #eBoilers

We enjoyed hosting an Arts, Drinks & Conversation event together with Young Collectors Circle, during which young professionals from different horizons were taken behind the scenes of the art world. Following a masterclass by Nadine van den Bosch about demystifying the process of buying art, we held a panel discussion with the artists who created the artwork displayed in our atrium throughout our month-long Arcus Pride Art campaign. Thanks to all next generation collectors who joined us for this unique networking event, and to Femke Buijs for organising!

In our latest briefing, we highlight the importance of #HR in relation to the reporting obligations pursuant the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (#CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (#ESRS) and share our observations that are relevant to the HR practice. The social aspects of CSRD reporting relate for example to workforce policies, diversity and inclusion initiatives, employee engagement and representation; topics that are more and more in the spotlight from a general compliance and a stakeholder perspective. HR will play a key role when it comes to assessing and steering the impact of relevant disclosures to the wider company strategy. ➡️ Read our briefing here: https://lnkd.in/erFWmv9m Feel free to reach out to Sara Schermerhorn and Floris van de Bult to hear more. #EmploymentLaw #ESG
