𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 - 𝗥𝗮𝘂𝘄 @𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 We came across a small group of dedicated enthusiasts pushing hard to build an indoor skatepark called "RAUW" in Helmond, the Netherlands. They have been striving for a skatepark for more than six years. So far, without any luck. 𝗕𝘂𝘁, 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀! Recently, the City of Helmond took notice, and the local community started to create several skate objects right away. Which could be used in an abandoned but ideal (covered) hangar. The first steps toward an actual skate park. However, quickly after the opening, the skate objects started to decay and needed maintenance to be made 'skate-ready' again. Ralf de Jong, a representative of "RAUW", reached out to us, and we responded quickly through the 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱. Making it possible again to skate indoors in Helmond! So, instead of getting youth on the streets, we funded getting athletes off the streets. Into Rauw. We're pleased to have made a difference for the skate scene in Helmond. 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 #𝟭 𝗺𝗮𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. Every week, our developers brainstorm, sweat and strive for a better map. Thinking of new tricks to optimize performance or entirely new features. And well, a few are coming! We're upgrading the performance, map colours and will soon give you the opportunity to find fellow athletes. Uniting our community. Besides the above, the map also gives you tools to: - Find local spots - Review spots - Select your favourites - Filter on 'street tags'

Everyday we see spots like this. Spots built with public money, in public space, that just suck.   As CityLegends it is our mission to identify these ’bad’ spots. Community members ‘map’ spots, upload photos and videos, but -most importantly- they leave down reviews. And trust me, the spot in the video won’t get a shiny review. But luckily more and more do!   After multiple bad spot reviews within CityLegends, we try to inform the local town hall about the spot. Our goal is to help build suitable parks, with input of the locals who use it. This way we help boost the sports, culture and social facilities of cities. And hopefully, increase the overall quality of the city infrastructure.

Graffiti = activism. Discussion lights up in LA due to corruption and lack of affordable housing, while LA has a new (and unexpected) tourist attraction.
