Where do we stand in the transition to decarbonize heavy industry? 🏗️ ➕ Demand for green steel is rising, with more agreements helping to de-risk new technologies and fund first factories. H2 Green Steel, within our funds, has deals covering over 40% of its initial production. ➖ Improving material efficiency is crucial. So far, efforts have mainly targeted energy efficiency. But solutions exist. CarbonCure Technologies, part of our funds, creates technologies that introduce captured CO₂ into fresh concrete to reduce its carbon footprint. Clean Energy Ventures publicly announced its $305 million fund, which our investors joined through our Climate Tech Portfolio Fund I! ⚡️ We are super excited to have Daniel Goldman, David Miller, Temple Fennell and the rest of the CEV team working on connecting our investors’ capital to breakthrough climate tech companies. Its fund will focus on clean energy tech investments that have the potential to mitigate 2.5 gigatons of CO2 emissions by 2050.
