🫀 Pig heart experiments at LifeTec Group™ As part of the SIGNET (ITEA Project Number 20052) Consortium, Marco Götte, Luuk Hopman, and Junior Reitzema traveled to Eindhoven to perform experiments on an ex-vivo pig heart setup in working mode. ECGs were captured, ablations were performed and biopsies were taken. The next step is to translate this into the MRI suite. Excited about the future! #CAMRIT #SIGNET #WhyCMR

Our study on [15O]H2O PET-derived patient-specific cutoffs for detecting hemodynamically significant coronary artery disease (CAD) has been published in The Journal of Nuclear Medicine - JNM. Patients with and without prior CAD had similar cutoffs detecting FFR-defined significant CAD. Females had higher cutoffs than males, and patients aged >70 years had lower cutoffs as compared to younger patients. Of note, these cutoffs did not translate into an increased overall accuracy as compared with previously established thresholds.
