𝗕𝗬𝗞 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 🚶 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 Colleagues will complete a section of the Wales Coast Walk to support the fight against blood cancer and to help a special theater project A privately organized German BYK team wants to do something for the community beyond their normal work and is taking on a new challenge! Frank Abschlag, Marcel Wiesner, David Samol and Britta Grunden are following in the footsteps of our colleagues from our location in Widnes, UK, and have planned something very specific for a good cause: From July 11 to 13, they will complete a section of the Wales Coast Walk together - 82 miles, (the equivalent of 132 kilometers) over three days. The motivation is great, because they are walking for a potentially life-saving cause: all the money will go to support the DKMS Group (German Bone Marrow Donor Center). Every step our colleagues take on this route contributes to funding life-saving stem cell typing, which is crucial in the fight against blood cancer. If you wish, you can support this private initiative by making a contribution for every kilometer or mile they walk or by making a one-off donation by August 15. We also don't want to forget our colleagues from our location in Widnes, who will also be out and about again for a good cause. They will be walking 🚶♀️ for the H.E.A.R.T.S. ❤️ theater project, which is deliberately aimed at children and young adults with disabilities and special needs. BYK appoints Comindex as Iberian distributor As of July 1, 2024, Comindex, S.A., our long-standing distributor, will expand its distribution network for our additives business in paints, plastics and industrial applications to Portugal. 😊 Simple but great 😊 Surface slip is evaluated by placing a weight on a coated panel and tilting the panel until the weight starts to slide. The coating at the front contains a polysiloxane which improves surface slip; the one in the middle has no surface additive (= control); the panel at the back contains a wax additive which gives anti-slip properties. A weight is then placed on the end of the panel and this side of the panel is slowly lifted until the weight begins to slide down. The difference in surface slip is clearly visible, isn't it?
