💡 Social Procurement Case Study 💡 💚 AfB social & green IT is Europe’s largest non-profit IT company. They contribute to the circular economy by collecting, refurbishing and remarketing used IT and mobile devices from corporate clients. But their primary mission is to help people with severe disabilities enter the labor market. Currently, employees with disabilities represent half of the company’s workforce. 🤝 AfB has been partnering with Siemens for over 10 years. What began as a small initiative with one local branch, today has scaled to a nationwide cooperation with Siemens in Germany, covering over 80,000 IT workplaces where hardware needs regular replacement for security or technological reasons. 💡Social Procurement Case Study 💡 ♻️ @EkoBag is the first green and social enterprise in Serbia. They recycle PVC foil from old advertising billboards, which would otherwise take up to 1500 years to decompose in nature. Out of it, they produce bags, folders, holders and wallets. 💼 Erste Banka Srbija'a CSR strategy has a key focus on supporting social entrepreneurs. They are the first bank in Serbia to develop social banking services, and have a policy of using social enterprises as vendors for catering and corporate gifts. 🤝 The two organizations met thanks to Buy Social's partner Smart Kolektiv 10 years ago, and quickly established a strong partnership. Every year, Erste Bank purchases 150 to 300 of EkoBag laptop bags, laptop backpacks, smaller document bags and locker bags for their employees.
