These patient-reported outcomes can be the key to (1) enabling “personalised healthcare” based on individual needs of the patient as reported at baseline and (2) the ability to forecast for a patient what the expected quality of life improvements for each treatment option are. Moreover, this will be based on actionable real-world data, moving beyond potentially biased clinical trials as a foundation for those conversations. **Balancing Outcomes and Costs: A Solution to the Healthcare Workforce Crisis** As healthcare grapples with resource shortages and the looming crisis of a 25% potential workforce loss in the next 5-10 years, the critical challenge is to find the right balance between sustainable costs and optimal patient outcomes. With a network comprising over 1000 partners, they are leaving a global impact. **The Decade Ahead** As ICHOM peers into the next 10 years, the spotlight is on implementation. They are diligently working on crafting FHIR-based sets that are both machine-readable and "IT ready." These sets will underpin a comprehensive global Real World Evidence initiative, one that addresses the world's primary disease groups, thereby significantly enhancing healthcare on a global scale. They employ PROMs to evaluate the Medicare expansion plans, leveraging both patient and clinician data along the way to evidence based medical practice. Their primary focus is on streamlining the measurement process and selecting the right PROMs, including generic PROMs and disease specific instruments. Industry partners, including Christophe Weber from Takeda Pharma, recognised the critical importance of aggregating the right data accurately and the role technology partners play. He highlighted the necessity for solution providers to step in and deliver standardised data points that are exchangeable between system providers.
