As we wrap up another season of our 100% organic bouquet, here are 5 things we have learned in 5 years with 100% organic flowers 🍃

A huge welcome to our new Chief Financial Officer, Dominique Highfield, who joins the Bloom and Wild Group! Dominique joins at an exciting time for the company, as we accelerate our ambitious plans to become a leading gifting destination across Europe with our range of flowers, plants and new gifting categories. Hiring a CFO is an important step in this journey. And Dominique brings experience from executive level finance and operational management roles with leading technology and consumer facing businesses including Amazon, Purplebricks, Sainsburys and Pentland Brands. Welcome Dominique!

Each summer, we proudly offer our 100% organic bouquet—now for the fifth year in a row! But did you know that we also incorporate organic stems in many of our other bouquets whenever possible? Organic floriculture currently makes up less than 0.5% of the industry. By choosing organic flowers, we aim to support and encourage the growth of sustainable flower farming. 🌿

September has rolled around but before welcoming in the new season we wrapped up our summer Fridays in typical Amsterdam fashion, a bloomie boat trip! With lots of sun snacks and good vibes 😎 Thank you to the team for organising! 🚤☀️

We told you we'd come back and let you know what our team got up to on their summer Friday's. And today is the last one of the year! Our team have been using their free Friday afternoons for everything from sports classes to brunches and camping to relaxing in the sun. ☀️ With the great weather in Amsterdam Aleesha Din was able to spend time relaxing by the Amstel River and catching up on some reading 📖 Jihane Khalil was able to beat the weekend rush by visiting some great bakeries in the city 🥐 Alexandra van Slooten dedicated her time to getting fit with some mid-afternoon Velo classes 🚴♀️ Tim Wesseling enjoyed time with his family and new pet Rabbits 🐰

Summer time, fun time! ☀️ We love for our teams to connect and collaborate together in person across markets and this summer our wonderful People team got together in London. It was a jam-packed couple of days. Some particular highlights: How best the People team can support the Bloom and Wild Group's sustainability efforts 🌱 A team learning and development session with @Talking Ape 🧐 A focus on company strategy 📊 And encouraging some healthy competition with a scavenger hunt 🗺️ Check it out below!

We recently hosted our summer party to celebrate everyones hard work (and the sun finally showing up) ☀️ Our summer event is a moment to connect face-to-face for our team and it was wonderful to celebrate all together. 👯♂️ Thank you for having us TheHangout! Friday afternoons off, anyone? Last year we trialed summer Fridays. And, as you'd expect, they were a big hit. And so they're back! Throughout July and August our team will finish their workday at 1pm on Friday. So they can spend more time with their family. Relax in front of the tv. Or simply just get their washing done so they can free up the weekend for fun things. However they want to spend it to recharge and do things that support their wellbeing, after a busy peak period. 🌻 But our amazing operational teams will be enjoying summer hours at different times during the week.
