Over ons

BENTHEM CROUWEL ARCHITECTS For almost four decades, Benthem Crouwel Architects has been creating innovative, flexible and efficient designs in a variety of scales: from universities, museums, bridges, railway stations, metro lines, offices, housing, malls and urban plans to bicycle racks, tiny houses and cross-over projects with designers. In all designs, Benthem Crouwel seeks a balance between economic, social and ecological interests, with a particular focus on innovation and sustainability. Benthem Crouwel Architects was founded in 1979 by Jan Benthem and Mels Crouwel. Today, partners Pascal Cornips, Daniel Jongtien, Saartje van der Made and Joost Vos lead our international team of some fifty professionals at our Amsterdam based Benthem Crouwel LAB: highly experienced architects, engineers, young trainees and recently graduated designers. Well known buildings and projects under construction are: Stedelijk Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Anne Frankhuis, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Ziggo Dome, RAI Convention and Exhibition Centre Amsterdam, North/South-metro link in Amsterdam, four metro stations in Paris, and central railway stations Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht.
