What a sweet “Procurement Excellence” networking event at the “Lindt Home of Chocolate” in Zurich, organized in collaboration with our solution partner, Coupa. We delved into AI use cases in Sourcing & Procurement, explored building resilience in supply chains, and discussed digitalization journeys in Procurement. For instance, we gained insights into how advanced Procurement Analytics can elevate Category Management and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM). Coupa showcased some of their latest AI-driven features in their Source-to-Pay Suite, including contract authoring, the guided buying chatbot, and AI-based inbox automation. A special thank you to Lars Runde, CPO of Lindt & Sprüngli, for hosting us at their fantastic venue and sharing practical and insightful examples of how Lindt has addressed risk and resilience challenges. A big thank you as well to Marie Lagasse Nössing (Lindt & Sprüngli), Oliver Kahle (Georg Fischer), and Manfred Wagner (Swiss Re) for sharing their experiences during a lively panel discussion on digitalization. We explored the importance of starting with a clear “why,” aligning to corporate goals, and developing a solid procurement maturity roadmap and business case before selecting tools. Additionally, we touched on change management and the critical role of bringing people along the journey—because even the best tool is ineffective without adoption and integration into daily business processes. This year’s BHM theme strives to honor the stories and places that were shaped by Black communities but often got overlooked. We are excited to share two maps highlighting historic sites in London and Chicago that played vital roles in Black history: 💂London: From the pioneering actions of Ignatius Sancho to the activism of Claudia Jones at Brixton’s “West Indian Gazette” and founding of the Nottinghill Carnival, these people and places remind us of the city's vibrant Black heritage and colorful celebration of history – even today! 🌆 Chicago: Despite racial redlining (labeled hazardous) black culture persevered and even thrived in districts like Bronzeville where legends like Louis Armstrong transformed culture or storytellers like the Johnson Publishing Company changed the representation of African Americans – these are just two of many places that embody resilience and excellence within the windy city!
