In samenwerking met Nirint Shipping B.V. hebben we een container met hulpgoederen naar Cuba gestuurd, een krachtig gebaar van solidariteit en steun aan degenen die het het hardst nodig hebben.   De samenwerking met stichtingen @Woord in Actie en Stichting Cubamigos, die zich jarenlang inzetten voor de ontwikkeling van Cubaanse gemeenschappen, resulteerde in een 20' container vol essentiële goederen. Een lichtpunt voor de bevolking van Cuba.   Voorzitter van Woord in Actie, Marian Leenman, deelt de harde realiteit in Cuba: stijgende inflatie, onbetaalbare basisbehoeften. Baars en Nirint Shipping bood Woord in Actie de mogelijkheid om kosteloos een container met hulpgoederen naar Cuba te sturen, een kans die met open armen werd ontvangen.
