With my Biomimetic Microsystems(BioMIC) Research Group,I had the opportunity to attend the Organ-on-a-chip MasterClass for bioengineers organized by ODTÜ MEMS Merkezi and AZAR Innovations in Ankara last week. In this MasterClass, our wonderful trainers Dr. Hossein Eslami Amirabadi and Dr. Oscar S. shared with us in detail their experiences so far. The workshop offered an enriching experience for all of us, featuring: •Interactive digital lectures •Organ-on-a-Chip Challenge to design your own chip assay, from problem to solution and from a rough idea to a concrete plan fit for purpose •In-depth insights with experts •Hands-on sessions with different commercial chips and their corresponding pumps to gain first-hand experience •Great networking opportunities with researchers from different fields Special thanks to Dr. Ender Yıldırım for organizing this event and to Prof. Dr. Ozlem YESIL CELIKTAS for supporting my participation.

🌸 I was very pleased to participate in an Organ-on-a-chip MasterClass specifically for bioengineers that was organized by Project OrChESTRA, ODTÜ MEMS Merkezi and AZAR Innovations, in Ankara Turkiye last week with my Biomimetic Microsystems(BioMIC) Research Group colleagues. 👩🏫 During this MasterClass, our trainers were Dr. Hossein Eslami Amirabadi and Dr. Oscar S.. 👩🎓 The workshop offered an enriching experience for all of us, featuring: * Interactive on-side and digital lectures, and in-depth insights with expert views by Dr. Hans Wyss, Dr. Hossein Eslami Amirabadi and Dr. Oscar Stassen. * Organ-on-a-chip challenge to design, plan and present our own chip assay, from problem to solution, and from a rough idea to a concrete plan that is fit for purpose, * Hands-on session with several types of chips and pumps to get familiar with, * Commercial session provided by microfluidic ChipShop GmbH, * Networking and having fun with great people! Last week, our CEO Martin Raasch joined AZAR Innovations for their Organ-on-Chip Masterclass in Amsterdam! The focus was on intestine-on-chip models, including gut and microbiome interaction.
