 🚀 Let’s go! In the 18th school year of the Alfen Academy, our in-house training program, we’ve added a new course: First Mechanic Mechatronics course level 3. ⚙️🤖 In early September, 60 students joined Alfen. Some of them are familiar faces: they’re switching their careers within Alfen or they’ve decided to go one level up! Many are new to us, and we get a chance to excite them about electrical engineering and the future of energy. 🌍🔋 Pictured is the new crew that visited our training centre for the introduction day. Back in 2008, we kicked off the Alfen Academy to tackle a common challenge that could hinder both our business growth and Europe’s transition to zero carbon: a shortage of skilled technicians. Why? Well, we can only create cutting-edge products to help our customers with a good crew of skilled technicians to bring these innovations to life. 👩🎓👨🎓 Through the Alfen Academy we guide trainees from different backgrounds and educational levels to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to earn their technical certificates. We’ve received a bunch of awards for our dedication to education, but more importantly, we get to discover talent, see our students’ growth, and help our customers conquer their electricity challenges. 100 electric vehicles charging all at once? Our customer Dutch software company AFAS is turning their parking lot into an EV party 🎉🔋 Their “Experience Centre” in Leusden, the Netherlands isn’t your typical corporate headquarters. It features a sports centre, meditation rooms, a restaurant and even a theatre that’s open to the public.
