Recently, Hester Alberdingk Thijm, Director of the AkzoNobel Art Foundation, had dinner with Hilda Bouma as part of Het Financieele Dagblad's series 'dinner with'. Hester shared fascinating insights into our collection, renowned as one of the leading corporate collections in the Netherlands. She also announced the upcoming exhibition ‘True Colors,’ featuring 150 works from our collection, opening at Kunstmuseum Den Haag on June 1. The exhibition will be a vibrant exploration of color and identity, showcasing works by Steven Aalders, Bernard Frize, Donald Judd, and Mondrian, among many others. #art #culture #AkzoNobel #TrueColors #Kunstmuseum

[NL]⁠ Graag willen wij U voorstellen aan onze nieuwe deputy director Hans November ⁠ ⁠ Hans November (Halle, België; 1978) was de afgelopen acht jaar werkzaam bij Het Noordbrabants Museum ´s-Hertogenbosch als hoofd collectie, tentoonstellingen, educatie en conservator 20ste- en 21ste eeuwse kunst. Hij cureerde onder andere de tentoonstellingen Chiharu Shiota: Between the Lines; A Chinese Journey: The Sigg collection; Ali Banisadr: Foreign Lands; Eva Jospin: Paper Tales. Eerder werkte Hans in de internationale kunst- en antiekhandel bij Axel Vervoordt, Christie’s en Kunsthaus Lempertz. Hij studeerde Kunstwetenschappen aan de KU Leuven en de Universiteit Leiden en zijn interessegebieden zijn moderne & hedendaagse kunst, architectuur, design en volkskunst. Wij zijn bijzonder verheugd dat Hans zijn internationale en museale ervaring, maar vooral zijn grote passie voor de hedendaagse kunst gaat inzetten om samen met het team de AkzoNobel Art Foundation en de collectie verder uit te bouwen.⁠ ⁠ ⁠ [ENG] We would like to introduce you to our new deputy director Hans November Hans November (Halle, Belgium; 1978) worked for the past eight years at Het Noordbrabants Museum ́s-Hertogenbosch as head of collection, exhibitions, education and curator of 20th and 21st century art. Some of the exhibitions he curated are Chiharu Shiota: Between the Lines; A Chinese Journey: The Sigg collection; Ali Banisadr: Foreign Lands; Eva Jospin: Paper Tales. Hans previously worked in the international art and antiques business at Axel Vervoordt, Christie's and Kunsthaus Lempertz. He studied art history at KU Leuven and Leiden University and his areas of interest are modern & contemporary art, architecture, design and folk art.
