The Aeronautical & Precision Engineering @ Inholland Delft Space Engineering Minor has started its 3rd edition and 25 4th year BSc. students enrolled for their learning experience. Also this year, we invite colleagues from the Space Industry for guest lectures. This week alumna Geanne Wende Lebbink from ISISPACE Group visited us and explained the ins and outs of cubesats. A great heads-up for our own team of 12 students that will bring our own InhollandSat-1 to the next level.
Exciting News from #Inholland at TU Delft Campus. Farewell old buildings and welcome to our new location!
We are proud to pay tribute to two remarkable buildings where we have achieved significant milestones during the last 8 years. See the video https://lnkd.in/eMHNTc37
- The Inholland Composites Delft lab (Building 45).
Our primary machine lab has been a hub for innovation, where students and researchers have developed solutions for composites design, manufacturing and validation. Since its origins in Haarlem in 1988 and its move to Delft in 2004, the lab has utilized advanced machinery, including the campus's largest autoclave, to deliver impactful industry results. The lab has been in Building 45 since 2016.
- The API Building (Building 46A).
In 2021, this building became a vital space for projects and experimentation, providing room for students to execute their Design, Build, Test projects. It has enabled the development of projects like the Electric Dragonfly aircraft, scale model aircraft (with a wingspan of 3.5 meters), full-motion flight simulators with VR and AR, part of a full-size mockup of a conceptual double-deck aircraft, a boat, an electric car, numerous rockets, and various exotic demonstrators focused on Sustainable Aviation and Space.
Now, we're moving to "the Terminal". As of September 2024, find us at Rotterdamseweg 266A, an attractive location for aerospace and advanced materials developments. We look forward to continuing our journey of innovation and excellence at our new home.
Hope to see you there!

Many thanks to the companies Arceon, Demcon, Econowind, IQIP®, Lens R&D B.V., Maana Electric, NLR - Netherlands Aerospace Centre, SAM XL, Space Villages, Trip & Co who provided assignments and coaching to our 3rd year student teams from Aeronautical & Precision Engineering @ Inholland Delft.
Last week, the students presented their project results. In the past 20 weeks, student teams have come up with solutions for aerospace related companies, through a process of analysing the problem, designing, building and testing prototypes.
Thursday July 4th, at the end of the project, the students gave pitches and presented their prototypes. It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm and creativity that the students have put in their work.
Special thanks to SAM XL for hosting this event.
