Persons living with disabilities are at a higher risk of abuse and #trafficking. This is why we partnered with the #Borno State Special School for the Blind and Deaf to hold a sensitization session with students to equip them with knowledge on how to avoid becoming victims.

This is what transition looks like! With the support of USAID - Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, IOM is helping displaced communities transform their emergency shelters made of tarpaulin into houses made from compressed stabilized mudbricks capable to withstand the elements, and which they proudly can call home.

Education is a powerful tool to prevent and combat #trafficking in persons, especially among children. In Lagos, we partnered with Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, Giving Is Healing Foundation, NATIONAL AGENCY FOR THE PROHIBITION OF TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS (NAPTIP), National Commission for Refugees Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) & Embassy of France in Nigeria to organize an inter-school Peer Education event among high school students. Through debates, quizzes and presentations, the students learnt about ways to spot and report trafficking schemes.

“I was one of those that actually did not believe that #Climatechange is coming... but I can tell you, it is coming faster than we thought”. Inaction is too costly. Education is the first step to addressing #ClimateChange and environmental degradation. Together, we are #GenerationRestoration.
