Building the Future of Africa's Science Education.

About us

What if you could get paid to do research with the likes of Harvard, CERN, NASA, and Princeton? Idalia Africa, in anticipation of the projected shift towards remote work by 2030, envisions a transformative reimagining of African education. Although good strides have, for instance, been made in tech by companies like Andela, Microsoft, and Google, Africa's contribution to the frontiers of science remains stale at best and lags painfully behind the West's at worst. Our vision is to position Africa as a leading knowledge frontier, fostering innovation, improving quality of life, and mitigating talent attrition. To address the pitfalls of the current Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, Idalia Africa proposes a novel approach. Acknowledging that the contributions of Africans abroad are often credited to institutions rather than Africa itself, we aim to redefine DEI by solving issues related to brain drain and institutional gatekeeping. Our strategic timeline includes creating awareness, forming partnerships with renowned institutions, establishing comprehensive training programs, and hosting hackathons to identify and nurture the best talent. The selected individuals undergo rigorous training, receive compensation, and are prepared for integration into global industries. Starting with physics research in Nigeria, the success of our initial iteration will pave the way for expanding operations, opening new training centers, and venturing into different fields of study. Idalia Africa's mission is clear – to revolutionize African science on a global scale.
