Dear PMX, This is another ラブレター/Labu Letter (Love Letter) to you, as I know your PMO's guys often read my postings, but hopefully this time your guys can plan well ahead as we startups, SMEs need concrete plan instead of 'in the middle' policy, always. Less than 24 hours, Facebook/Meta censored you again for the 2nd time. They are far ahead than your gov's plans to introduce the licensing on social media platforms and your 'kill switch'. Malaysians are top 3 users in the world for Facebook, but monetarily, we're not in top 10. We kuat membawang (onion-ing) only without planting any bawang, just like I always did here. So for them, we Malaysians syiok sendiri when we think we are important to them/Facebook, but it's not, PMX. No matter how cheap and how many datacenters we have here, they have options elsewhere to put their servers. Chip's related export regulations also being mentioned today, and country like South Korea, Japan and Netherlands are exempted. But countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Israel and Taiwan gonna be regulated from exporting it to sanctioned countries upon using Western's tech/equipment, which means the FDI, GDP will gonna be very much lesser next year. Unless we use coconut /tin Milo to produce chips. And this will impact the NIMP2030, AI startups, SMEs that hopping on the AI trendy thingy at the moment. How startups can compete/offer (in term of pricing) when everyone is using the same hardware (which will be very costly and unavailable)? This is a complete ecosystem chip-drain, and somehow it is a killing-us softly just like what they did to China. Will our many datacenters gonna be empty soon (already is)? You have plenty on your plates now, PMX. One of the things I’ve realized on my journey with Athena.vc so far is that I shouldn’t waste time on mediocre problems. I should focus on something big, something I truly believe in, and something I know is the future of society and civilization. Now, as part of this journey, I’ve realized that I lack many technical skills to move directly into building with Athena.vc. Doing so without these skills would be a mediocre way of trying to become a tech founder- the very thing I’m trying to avoid. If I want to build in tech, I need to learn technical skills. I need to focus on building the right skills that will enable me to understand things from a first- principles perspective. To achieve that, I have identified two fundamental areas where I need to focus: 1. Information theory 2. Physical theory Both can be mastered by studying Math (or Computer Science) and Physics at the undergraduate level. That’s one option: I either study a double degree in Math and Physics at university, or I read plenty of books, which I’m inclined to do. Whichever way I choose to learn, there are six industries I believe will define the future of human civilization: 1. FinTech 2. Energy Sector 3. Space Science and Rocketry 4. AI and Quantum Computing 5. Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals 6. Logistics and Transportation So, I will immerse myself in a 5-year program to vertically learn Math (with a focus on quantum computing) and Physics (specializing in rocket engineering) and deeply research what I call the BigSix. By the time I fully grasp physical theory and can apply information theory to arrange and build things, I will understand the world better and be able to build almost anything imaginable. Where do I begin? I’ll start with the Eisenhower Matrix. I want to work as a UX Designer while doing all of this. First, because I’ve been designing for almost 4 years. Second, it comes naturally to me and is less stressful. Third, I love it. Will I still join the Residency Program? If I’m successful and Athena.vc takes an interest in my product 3-5 years from now, why not? But I plan to remain in the community to grow, learn, and make use of the curriculum, which I find extremely valuable. Thank you, Athena.vc and Rob Liu 🐸 It’s humbling to say that if the timing isn’t right, we should be courageous enough to admit it. Don’t forget me. I admire you.

[Available for Freelance Work] 3D ENGINERD. I recently built a Backend asset conversion pipeline 🏗️ for Unproject that can be used to load an FBX 3D asset from the frontend, extract object information, hierarchy & materials, storing these in Supabase DB. It also exports out all meshes in the asset as seperate GLB files & all textures as PNG files, which are uploaded to AWS S3. This is a really cool 3D/XR design tool ✨ that makes setting up interactive 3D scenes much easier.
