TNB Genco in collaboration with the Department of National Heritage and UKM Pakarunding, has discovered over 70,000 prehistoric artifacts, including a 16,000-year-old human skeleton, in the Nenggiri Valley. This historic discovery is the result of research and excavation work sponsored by TNB Genco on 13 affected caves as part of heritage preservation efforts. TNB will also establish a mini gallery in Gua Musang to showcase the nation's treasures, including artifacts found in the Nenggiri Valley. #BetterBrighter #TNB75

Our Bukit Selambau Large-Scale Solar (LSS) Plant in Kedah, Malaysia, is more than just a source of clean energy. It's a testament to our commitment to environmental sustainability. To ensure harmony with local wildlife, we conducted a comprehensive study of macaque behaviour surrounding our solar plants. By understanding their habits, we've implemented measures to mitigate potential conflicts between our operations and the local ecosystem. Some strategies our studies inform are:  1) Habitat modifications 2) Public education on waste management 3) Non-invasive methods to manage macaque populations effectively and humanely. This initiative joins our efforts to conserve water resources and protect aquatic ecosystems. TNB Power Generation (TNB GENCO) is leading the way toward a green future with the Nenggiri hydroelectric dam, one of the largest renewable energy projects by TNB in Malaysia. In addition to generating clean energy through hydro, TNB GENCO also plans to incorporate solar energy by building a hybrid-hydro floating solar (HHFS) system in Nenggiri. Beyond generating clean energy, the Nenggiri dam is committed to environmental responsibility, enhancing the aquatic ecosystem. Today, we're diving into our ongoing efforts to meet global water conservation standards set by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). All our power generation assets are built and operated in line with the World Bank Environmental and Social Standards. They act as a benchmark against our internal proactive measures in water management, ensuring peak sustainable performance for boilers and cooling systems, whether they rely on municipal water sources, seawater, or river water. Through initiatives like our "Operational Excellence" program and the "Business Turnaround Program" launched in 2017, we continuously improve water conservation efforts in our energy generation processes. These efforts are further bolstered by groundbreaking technology like our Combine Cycle Gas Turbine and Ultra Super Critical Boiler, a first for Southeast Asia.
