Yesterday we reached a significant milestone with the successful completion of the final stage of our SHARE: Influential Leaders Talk programme – a participant-led event that forms part of our award-winning framework in the Accelerated Leadership Programme Series (ALPs). This programme, designed for our high-potential talents, revolves around the signature Learn, Apply, Share concept focused on the trending theme of Leading in the Age of Digital Disruption: Innovating for Impact. 💡 The event featured thought-provoking insights from industry-leading experts: 🌟 Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Hj. Noor Hisham bin Abdullah - Chairman of IJN and Chairman of UCSI Healthcare Group. Popularly known as the former Director General of Health, Ministry of Health, Malaysia. 🌟 Datuk Jake Abdullah - Strategic Advisor, Media Prima Audio and a stalwart in the Malaysian media and entertainment sector 🌟 Dr. Jasmine Begum - Regional Director, Corporate, External and Legal Affairs, Microsoft ASEAN The event delved into the strategies and challenges leaders face when driving digital disruption across industries, highlighting how AI integration must be balanced with human-centered principles. It covered the importance of leading digital initiatives and how frugal innovations are making an impact to the future of work. Some key takeaways: 🔍Responsible AI isn’t just an afterthought, but it must be embedded early through strategic parameters and collaborative policymaking to mitigate bias. 📚Upskilling and reskilling are essential in building digital policies and enabling the workforce to harness the full potential of digital technologies. 🔑Actionable strategies were shared on navigating this evolving technological landscape for future success. MCMC, through the Industry Development Sector, Community and Future Inclusion Division, organized the Industry Roundtable Briefing Session for the Pahang Kick-Off Cashless Society Scaling Up Programme 2024. This event, held on 12 September 2024, was in collaboration with strategic partners such as Maybank, Bank Negara Malaysia, Agensi Kaunseling & Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK), Bank Islam Malaysia, Setel, TM Unifi Business, Bank Simpanan Nasional, Touch 'n Go, Pengurus NADI, SakuPay, FELDA, the Pahang State Government Office, and the Pahang MCMC State Office. Following the success of the Cashless Society Program in Melaka in 2023, as well as in Johor and Negeri Sembilan in the first and second quarters of 2024, it is now Pahang's turn to join this Cashless Society Program Phase 2 for the third and fourth quarters of 2024. The cashless program has already begun in Pahang, through the Cashless Carnival phase at the Karnival Segalanya FELDA (KSF), FELDA Jengka, Pahang, held from 1 to 2 June 2024, which was launched by YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, the Chief Minister of Pahang. The program will now proceed to the next phases at selected locations across the state of Pahang. The Cashless Awareness and Promotion Campaign NADI Pahang will run from 20 September 2024 to 13 October 2024 at 15 NADI locations in FELDA settlements across the state, as well as selected locations by the Pahang State Government for the soft launches of the Cashless Pilot and Cashless Month in Pahang. The awareness and promotion campaign for the Cashless Society scaling up programme focuses on four main pillars: Financial & Digital Awareness, Safety and Security, Income Opportunities, and Capacity Building.
