A unique team building experience 🏃🏻 When registration for this year's annual Lofoten Ultra-Trail opened, KONGSBERG employees were quick to sign up. The 130 spots filled in record time, with participants from KONGSBERG's four business areas: Kongsberg Maritime, Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, Kongsberg Digital and Kongsberg Discovery. This year's race, a 100-mile challenge across snow-capped peaks and pristine beaches under the midnight sun, was a tremendous success. "It's about facilitating and encouraging good health, camaraderie, and community, which are crucial for a healthy and productive work environment," says Anne Gro Kjørstad, HR Manager KONSGBERG. The numbers are in ✅   In the second quarter of 2024, KONGSBERG maintained its positive trend by achieving growth, solid financial results, and a robust order intake.   “In the second quarter, we continued to build momentum by securing significant orders that position us for further growth. The demand related to sustainability and security is stronger than ever,” says Geir Håøy, President and CEO of KONGSBERG.   For Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, operating revenues were MNOK 4 425 in the second quarter, up 28 per cent from the same quarter last year.   Driven by new contracts to deliver Joint Strike Missile to the United States Air Force and new NASAMS orders from Spain and Norway, our order intake was MNOK 10 257.   There is considerable market activity in all divisions of Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace. He describes himself as a 'technology nerd' who likes to understand the physics and theory behind the technology and believes that Norway must be at the forefront of defence technology to maintain a strong defence structure.
