6 countries, 4 days!!✅📈 For our valued partner banks from the GCC countries, Commerzbank AG and Commerz Global Service Solutions (Formerly known as Commerz Trade Services) hosted a trade and cash seminar in Malaysia. 🇴🇲 🇲🇾 🇰🇼 🇦🇪 🇸🇦 🇸🇬 🇶🇦 Various topics, from trade finance capabilities, cash, ECA, #compliance in trade, economics outlook to digitalisation trends were covered. Over 81% of global doc trade (LCs ) flow between #Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa and thus placing the GCC’s as key #growth driver in #international trade.📈 A key highlight was a deep dive and tour of our local set up in #Malaysia which developed into a global center of #excellence particularly on the trade side. Never say never!! ✅ ✅ I would have never thought that IT and Technology delivery becomes a focus topic for myself and Commerz Global Service Solutions (Formerly known as Commerz Trade Services) Last week Heiko Burdack, Ts.Prem Menon, Norbert Kratz , Metin Kucur and I opened the #IT factory in #Malaysia as additional key location for Commerzbank AG group. Speed and execution were key for phase 1 to hit this crucial milestone for the company. Less than one year ago Heiko and his team visited the location for the first time and the plan was created including the delivery model. 📈📈 By now more than 50 fantastic staff have been recruited across many different technology buckets, of which some of them run 24/7, in #KualaLumpur and #Penang. The ribbon cutting was a key highlight to open the #IT factory as part of a global Tech Foundation town hall. 🙌 🍾 I thank the entire Tech foundation team, HR team and everyone involved for their trust and support and looking forward for the next phase. Great Teamplay made it possible. At the #WKYU, we organized an opening celebration with a ribbon cutting to mark the start of our new “IT Factory”. I really enjoyed how many colleagues joined the event and used the chance to celebrate and connect. After the worldwide townhall we had a nice get together with plenty of time for talking, snacks and drinks.
