Yesterday marked an exciting milestone as we officially launched our 5G-Advanced (5G-A) showcase at SUKMA 2024! We had the privilege of hosting Datuk Liwan Lagang, Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunications Sarawak, who was impressed by our cutting-edge demonstrations at Stadium Sarawak. Here’s what we’re bringing to the table: 1️⃣ First-ever live UltraHD broadcast of SUKMA 2024 Broadcasters using portable & wireless 5G-A-enabled cameras to relay live UltraHD video images in 4K or 8K resolution to broadcasters' servers on the cloud. 2️⃣ 360° camera with remote VR broadcast With 360° cameras fitted within the sports arena, by simply putting on a VR headset, one can have an immersive 360° view within the sports arena in real time, feeling as if you're virtually 'transported' to the stadium. 3️⃣ 5G-A speed demonstration - 30.8Gbps Recognised by Malaysia Book of Records for the "Fastest 5G-A Live Trial", a demonstration to showcase the speed of 5G-A at 30.8Gbps is conducted at the pavilion.
