Earlier this year, in the depths of the New England winter, with summer's heat still months away, our team planted the seed of an idea for a new high-efficiency cooling product. Spurred by a customer's interest, the new idea grew quickly from a napkin sketch to a full size prototype. In less than 6 months we had a fully functioning unit ready to be tested (to put this into context, the unit is the size of a small car and, like a car, a typical design cycle would take 2-3 years). With much trepidation we sent it off for testing at a third party facility and the performance was... outstanding!... Exactly what we expected. The unit delivered cool and dry air at more than _double_ the current standard of energy efficiency for this type of equipment. Were we lucky? In some ways Yes. So many things had to come together just right. But mostly, No. This development was backed by years of experience and a dedicated team that worked diligently to overcome incredible obstacles. And that's what makes Transaera, Inc. So what's next? Field trials on a roof-top of a building in collaboration with the customer who sparked this (r)evolution. Stay tuned... ZIEHL-ABEGG setzt auf Kontinuität. Produktionsvorstand Joachim Ley übernimmt Vorstandsvorsitz (CEO). Der Spirit von ZIEHL-ABEGG als erfolgreiches Familienunternehmen wird weiter erhalten bleiben. Das sagt Dennis Ziehl, der Aufsichtsratsvorsitzende des Elektromotoren- und Ventilatorenbauers. Produktionsvorstand Joachim Ley, seit 2021 im Unternehmen und aktiver Gestalter des globalen Wachstums, ist jetzt neuer Vorstandsvorsitzender von ZIEHL-ABEGG.   „ZIEHL-ABEGG ist ein Familienunternehmen und wird es auch künftig sein“, sagt Dennis Ziehl. „Diese DNA wird von meiner Familie seit mehr als 100 Jahren geprägt und wird auch beim globalen Wandel erhalten bleiben.“ Der Aufsichtsrat hat daher beschlossen, dem erfolgreichen Produktionsvorstand Joachim Ley die Verantwortung für das komplette Managementboard zu übergeben. Der studierte Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur Ley war seit 2021 als COO (Vorstand Produktion) des Unternehmens aktiv. Der erfahrene Manager trug auch die Verantwortung für die Bereiche Produktion, den Einkauf sowie zentrale Logistik und Prozesse. Joachim Ley ist 47 Jahre alt, verheiratet und hat zwei Kinder. Nach Abschluss seines Studiums übernahm er diverse Führungspositionen im Operations-Bereich. Vor ZIEHL-ABEGG stand er viele Jahre als Vorstand in einem marktführenden Zulieferunternehmen der Luftfahrtbranche in der Verantwortung. Lebensmittelpunkt war zu diesem Zeitpunkt schon Nord-Württemberg. „Mit Herrn Joachim Ley (CEO), Herrn Wolfgang Mayer (CTO) und einem möglichst bald genannten Nachfolger für die Stelle CFO werden wir zukünftig einen 3-köpfigen Vorstand haben“, erklärt Aufsichtsrats-Chef Ziehl. „Ich danke Herrn Dr. Wucherer als CEO und Herrn Kanig als CFO herzlich für die Arbeit in den zurückliegenden Jahren“, betont Dennis Ziehl. Dr. Wucherer habe eine Zukunftsstrategie eingeführt, um das Unternehmen fit für den globalen Wettbewerb zu machen. „Der hierfür gewählte Weg war und ist richtig und nachvollziehbar“, unterstreicht der Aufsichtsratsvorsitzende. Olaf Kanig habe in den fünf Jahren seiner Tätigkeit als CFO bei ZIEHL-ABEGG mit hohem persönlichem Einsatz seinen Aufgabenbereich geführt und die positive, wertschöpfende Entwicklung des Unternehmens mitverantwortet. „Mit Herrn Kanig sind wir schon seit geraumer Zeit im Gespräch, er will sich neu orientieren, uns aber bis zur Neubesetzung im Vorstandsbereich als CFO zur Verfügung stehen“, erklärt Dennis Ziehl. „Der Aufsichtsrat und ich wünschen Dr. Marc Wucherer sowohl für den weiteren beruflichen Weg als auch privat alles Gute und viel Erfolg“, sagt Dennis Ziehl. Ebenso wünschen wir Olaf Kanig noch eine erfolgreiche Zeit bei ZIEHL-ABEGG und dann einen erfolgreichen weiteren Weg.
