FORVIA HELLA and Audi break new ground with digital headlamp concept for Q6 e-tron FORVIA HELLA has developed a completely new headlamp concept for the Q6 e-tron in collaboration with the German premium manufacturer AUDI AG. Its speciality: The front lighting not only realises adaptive lighting functions such as glare-free high beam. Above all, it has a digital daytime running light matrix that allows end users to select their preferred digital light signature for the daytime running light from up to eight preset designs. The appearance of the Matrix LED headlamps therefore can be personalised to a high degree. The daytime running light designs created by the manufacturer, which also include specially customised Coming Home / Leaving Home scenes, can be selected by the end user according to their own preferences via an app or the SUV's Multi Media Interface (MMI). On July 9, 2024, we successfully held a Tech Day at the headquarters of Li Auto in Beijing, China, in collaboration with our joint venture partner HELLA BHAP Lighting. Li Auto, as one of the most prominent Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, focuses on the high-frequency needs of family users as its value benchmark. 🛡️ The 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫 is a crucial component for protecting your vehicle’s engine. It can help to 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞 from working unnoticed with too little oil, which can lead to expensive engine damage and can also detect overfilling. If the oil reaches too low a level or a critical temperature, an appropriate warning signal can be transmitted to the driver in order to initiate prompt actions. 🔍 How Does the Level Sensor work? The sensor utilizes an ultrasonic measuring principle. An ultrasonic transmitter sends waves to the oil surface, which are then reflected onto a multichip module. Using an integrated algorithm, the module calculates the oil level. Additionally, a temperature sensor measures the oil temperature. 🌡️ The level sensor can perform measurements both when the engine is off (static) and while driving (dynamic).
