Ambient Music Maker

Ambient Music Maker is an easy and fun background track maker.

Do you want to give your game more realism but don’t know how to produce your own audio tracks? You don't have to know. You can use this app to make unique sound effect tracks or tonal tracks for your game jam, indie game, podcast, video or just for fun.

The app uses a unique idea where it takes your short audio clips of sounds you like and mixes them up into a nice-sounding background track.

Just load your audio clips you want to use, then click "Preview" to hear what the track sounds like. The app will arrange your clips into a nice-sounding background track.

You can add and remove clips and listen to previews as long as you like, and when you're ready, you can record your track in wav format by clicking "Record". Then you can save your clips as a set and use them again next time.

Ambient Music Maker is smart. It makes the track sound natural by arranging and repeating clips in the best order. It lets you spread out the clips or squeeze them together more if you like. If you use clips of music notes, the app plays chords (no music theory required).

The app is also fun to play with. Choose any unusual short clips and press "Preview" and the app will play a soundscape for you and keep playing until you press stop.

How does it work? The app uses an algorithm I developed using geometric patterns. This app does not use AI.

License:
Anything you make with Ambient Music Maker is entirely your own creation. You're free to use your creation in accordance with the licensing of the audio clips you choose. All clips included with Ambient Music Maker may be used for both non-commercial and commercial projects without any limitations, and no need for attribution. If you use clips that aren't included with Ambient Music Maker, the licensing may be different.

The app takes only .ogg (Ogg Vorbis) files and generates .wav files. Clips can be converted easily to .ogg format online or with standalone apps.
