The hip-hop equivalent of "the sum is greater than its parts," Slaughterhouse is comprised of four talented MCs who spent many years paying dues and dealing with an avalanche of bad deals, bad luck, and bad timing. Joell Ortiz, Royce Da 5'9”, Crooked I, and Joe Budden could each write a book about how the industry has done them wrong, but instead of crying over missed opportunities and wack situations, they instead joined forces to become one of the biggest and most universally jocked supergroups the rap game has ever seen. Their self-titled debut album was one of the best moments of 2009, and this EP is just a little something to tide the fans over until the official follow-up, to be released on Eminem's Shady Records. All six tracks here are great, loaded with boisterous beats, razor-sharp flows, and quotable rhymes aplenty ("I'm on BET more than Leprechaun 3"). Don't miss "Back On the Scene" with Dres from Black Sheep, and the furious posse cut "Put Some Money On It (Remix)" featuring Styles P, Jadakiss, and Sheek Louch.
