About Morgan Evans
Morgan Evans is an award-winning Australian country singer-songwriter whose upbeat tunes have brought him success in the US. ∙ Evans won a 2007 songwriting competition that allowed him to release the debut EP, Big Skies, whose title track got airplay on Australian country radio. ∙ In 2012, he signed a major-label deal and released two EPs, Live Each Day and While We’re Young. ∙ Recorded in Nashville, his self-titled 2014 debut album topped Australia’s country chart and earned three CMC Music Awards, including the cable video channel’s Oz Artist of the Year. ∙ “Kiss Somebody,” his 2017 Gold-selling U.S. debut single, was a hit on country radio and rose to No. 11 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. ∙ Things That We Drink To—Evans’ 2018 sophomore LP and first hit US album—featured “Dance with Me,” a duet with his American country-star wife, Kelsea Ballerini. ∙ In 2019, his US and Australian Top 40 tune “Day Drunk” was named Single of the Year at the Country Music Awards of Australia.
