During the first season of the short-lived Univision TV show La Banda, five young Latin American singers were selected by a who’s who of Latin pop, including producer Ricky Martin, to become CNCO. Having transcended those reality show beginnings and gone on to global pop prominence, this contemporary boy band continues to excite fans with each new release. In 2016, Primera Cita set the stage with its heartfelt dance-floor hit “Reggaetón Lento (Bailemos)”, and they kept the party going with their eponymous 2018 full-length and its dembow-infused pop single “Hey DJ”. The following year, the Que Quiénes Somos EP found them soaring higher than ever, delivering memorable hooks and harmonies on the trap-salsa hybrid “Ya Tú Sabes” and the Manuel Turizo collaboration “Pegao”.
