Best response to a riotous hit debut? A batch of disaffected indie floor fillers laced with urgency, wit and, yes, anger. Nothing escapes the gimlet-eye of the Leeds-based five piece on this second album. But whether it’s howl-along rabble-rouser “Highroyds”, the garage rock workout “Everything Is Average Nowadays” or the breathless festival-sized battle cry of “Ruby”, those withering punchlines are always served up with an ear for an irresistible hook.
