About Jordan Hollywood
Rapper/producer/vocalist Jordan Hollywood cultivates a hybrid style, bringing together smart, cutting lyricism with R&B hooks and powerful production. He worked independently for years before signing on with Quality Control Music for the release of projects like 2021's Only the Paranoid Survive. Born in Miami, Florida in 1993, Hollywood was well into his craft by his teenage years and known in rap circles by the time he started releasing his music online around 2011. He had collaborated with Jason Derulo before he began steadily building his own career, releasing singles and making guest appearances on other artists' tracks. Hollywood's hazy 2014 single "10 Shots" featured spots by bigger names Yo Gotti and Lil Durk, and in 2016, his first widely circulated mixtape, Sorry for This, materialized. The moody collection garnered great reviews from fans and critics alike and included fan favorites "Squad Goals," "DMX," and "Trill Shit." In 2018, Hollywood signed on with Quality Control Music for the release of his second collection, FINALLY! The set included guest appearances from Lil Baby, Sam Bruno, and Ronny J. The next year, he released the stand-alone single "Testament," and in 2021 he teamed with legendary producer Timbaland for "The Ugly Song," the lead single from his third album, Only the Paranoid Survive. The record was slated for release later in the year and found Hollywood exploring themes of anxiety, trust, and his recent status as a new father. ~ Fred Thomas
