notes:

-monsters can only see you when your flashlight is on, but you need to have the light on to pick up items.

- it should be rare, but sometimes you can start the level trapped in a room with no exits, or one of the items may be placed in a room that's blocked off. if either of these happen, you're very lucky

-using the candle to banish fiends also erases them from the title screen. so utterly were they defeated...
