For the fourth and last day, the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is ongoing in Houston, United States, with participation of delegations from the energy sector within the ministry, the national oil company (SMH) and representatives from private sector companies operating in the services in relation with oil and gas. As part of their agenda at the conference, the energy sector delegation held several meetings with representatives from global energy companies and investors in offshore exploration and production with the aim of establishing partnerships, attracting investment, and introducing the potential opportunities in Mauritania. Through this unprecedented participation, Mauritania has managed to achieve its goal of showcasing its considerable capabilities in the petroleum, gas, and renewable energy sectors. Specialized international media agencies such as Bloomberg highlighted the significant interest surrounding Mauritania's gas field "BirAllah" and focused on its commercial nature and it's huge reserves estimated more than 60 TCF. Regarding the activities of the Mauritanian private sector, which had a notable presence at the conference's accompanying exhibition, the numerous booths set up by private national companies stood out for showcasing their services and areas of expertise. These booths attracted service providers and individuals interested in knowing more about potential partnerships. This participation represents a valuable opportunity to support local content and develop the businesses and expertise of companies operating in the oil and gas sector.
