Dugongs - A Silent Crisis 🌊 Generation Hope, organized by Worldview International Foundation, presents a series of informative videos on pressing environmental issues 🌍 Dugongs face growing threats, but these gentle creatures play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of our marine ecosystems by preserving seagrass meadows, which serve as vital habitats for marine life and help absorb carbon. By safeguarding them, we contribute to the health of our oceans and the future of our planet 🐾 Watch the full video here - https://lnkd.in/gksq-MjQ Visit our website to learn more about Worldview International Foundation - www.wif.foundation #Dugongs #Seagrass #ClimateChange #ClimateAction #GenerationHope #WorldviewInternationalFoundation

Did you know that blue carbon ecosystems like mangroves, seagrass beds, and salt marshes absorb up to 10 times more carbon dioxide than forests on land? They lock away carbon for thousands of years! ⏳ But we're losing these ecosystems four times faster than rainforests. When they're destroyed, all that stored carbon gets released back into the atmosphere🌏 By protecting and restoring them, we can reduce greenhouse gases and create carbon credits that support sustainable development 🌱 Learn more on our website about how we can make a difference together 👉 https://lnkd.in/gA_Ggdf7 #BlueCarbon #ClimateAction #Mangroves #Seagrass #WorldviewInternationalFoundation

The "Marine Spatial Planning Cooperation Workshop of Maritime Silk Road Partner Countries," organized by the China Oceanic Development Foundation, will take place in September 2024. This workshop aims to enhance cooperation in marine spatial planning and promote the development of the Blue Economy among countries along the Maritime Silk Road. The event will feature a series of lectures, interactive discussions, and case studies focusing on marine governance, environmental protection, and economic development. Participants will gain insights into China's marine governance practices and explore ways to implement marine spatial planning in their respective countries. The workshop will provide a platform for knowledge exchange, fostering international collaboration to achieve sustainable marine development goals. We are pleased to announce that Dr. San Tha Tun, Director of Research and the Worldview Mangrove Gene Bank, will represent the Worldview International Foundation at this workshop. Dr. Tun has a long working history with Worldview, beginning as a science partner from Pathein University and later becoming the Director of WIF's Mangrove Gene Bank. His participation underscores our commitment to advancing marine spatial planning and environmental conservation efforts globally.
