My wife and I tied the knot on August 10, 2012 at the Crofoot Ballroom in Pontiac, Michigan, and I performed this surprise song for her that night!

The song's theme is inspired by a conversation Natalie and I had after celebrating her birthday. She told me, "Birthdays remind me that I just want to do something great for the world, do something special."

As friends and family know, Nat's already achieving that, and loved no matter what, but I thought I'd remind her through melody!

In June, I did a two day recording session at Catherine North Studios. I love to create music with my Canadian friends there, and it was the first time Natalie got to join me for a trip to Hamilton and meet them in person.

It was a treat to work with producer Michael Chambers (moon:and:6) again, and a treat to have my talented friend Paul Federici guest on the harmonies.

Ashley Jo Farmer and I met at a Folk Alliance conference in NC this year, and it was fun o have her help with the project.

I'm releasing the song on my first wedding anniversary. It's been a great year, and I appreciate the love and support from everyone. Time is going by too quickly!
